MIWA's Japanese Cooking Class

Fun, Healthy, and Tasty Japanese Cookery for Everyone

About us

The concept of Miwa's Japanese Cooking Class was born when our co-founder, Miwa, lived in Cambridge, UK in 2016. While his husband was studying at University of Cambridge, Miwa started to utilize her previous experience of cooking and opened her first Japanese cooking class at home for the locals. The first class was only with 3 people, but it then grew its popularity by word of mouth. Later, a cooking class company in Cambridge offered her to host a Japanese cooking class gathering more than 10 people (with some waitlisted).

Coming back to Tokyo, Japan in summer 2017, Miwa wanted to continue teaching Japanese cooking to tourists to Japan and opened Miwa's Japanese Cooking Class in May 2018.

What a gift Miwa has and is! She is the heart of this experience and gave us such a unique opportunity to have a wonderful conversation, a wonderful meal, and learn a new skill (new ingredients and methods of preparation) that all revolved around our host country. The experience gave us a nice contrast in our travels, a respite from the crowds and the city, as we soaked in the simplicity of a Japanese apartment, the appreciation of the foods and the connection with a local. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
