Garlicky cucumber

<Yield> 2-3 servings

2 cucumber


2-3 cloves of garlic= 2 tsp of grated garlic

½ tbsp of salt

2 pinch of sugar

11/2 tbsp of egoma oil ( any good quality oil is ok)

<Optional toppings>

chili powder

finely chopped Bird's eye chili

toasted sesame oil

finely chopped leek

boiled chicken breast


1: Pat cucumber with rolling pin or with the flat side of the knife. Chop into bite size pieces.

2: Mix all seasonings listed above.

3: Toss 1 and 2 before you serve. Time to be enjoyed!

<Miwa's tips>

・The liquid from cucumber will come out as time goes. so it better to toss it right before your serve it.

・This recipe is made for garlic lover like me so you might find the garic to be too strong. Feel free to adjust your taste by reducing the amount of garlic.

・Sea salt works better in this recipe.

・You can use any oil. For example, toasted sesame oil, avocado oil, and olive oil. I recommend high quality oil which can be beneficial for your health.

・If you are spicy heat lover, I strongly recommend to add bird’s eye chili!

Store it in a air-tight container in the fridge for 3days.
