GARLIC HONEY SALMON

Try this steamed garlic honey salmon recipe!


It comes out from the oven in 15mins.

We are steaming garlic honey salmon instead of baking in the oven.

It’s the perfect easy weekday dinner meal.



In this video, I’m also introducing the avocado arugula salad as a side dish.


If you prepare some rice or bread along with this garlic honey salmon and salad, your dinner will be ready to be served on the table in 20mins!






<GARLIC HONEY SALMON/ ガーリックとはちみつの蒸し焼きサーモン>



<Yield> 2 servings


<Prep time> 5 mins


<Cook time> 15 min


<Ingredients>

300g of salmon filet

2 cloves of garlic

1 tbsp of butter


Sauce

1 tsp of rice wine without MSG and salt

1 tbsp of soy sauce

2 tbsp of honey

2 tbsp of grain mustard


<Optional toppings>

Any fresh herb



<Directions>

1: Preheat the oven at 180℃/ 360F. Mix 1 tsp of rice wine, 1 tbsp of soysauce, 2 tbsp of honey , and 2 tbsp of grain mustard for sauce.


2: Chop garlic finely. Score the salmon and stuff the chopped garlic in each grooves. Season with pinch of salt. Place the salmon on the aluminum foil and smother the sauce on top. Close the foil and fold the edge to seal it completely.


3: Pop them into the oven at 180℃/ 360F for 15mins.


4; Open the foil and drop 1 tbsp of butter on top when the salmon is still steaming hot. Garnish some fresh herbs and ready to be enjoyed.



<Miwa’s tips> ※Sharing more tips on the video!

・To cook salmon in the toaster oven, cook it for about 15mins with the highest temperature.

・To cook it on the stove top, pour 5mm-1cm depth of water in a pan. Place salmon wrapped with aluminum foil into the water and cook it for about 15mins over mid heat. Try not to submerge aluminum foil into the water. we just want to steam it.


・Please check if the salmon is cooked or not before you serve it. If not, cook another a couple more mins.


・You can also add mushrooms together with salmon to steam. In a way, more liquid will seep out. Make sure to adjust the taste with salt if it’s needed.


・Make sure to seal the aluminum foil completely.
