GARLIC RICE IN RICE COOKER/ Japanese rice recipe

This garlic rice recipe is very simple but go with many stew, soup and curry.

This time, I paired with tomato chicken stew.

When I want to enrich overall taste of dish, I make this garlic rice.

By adding soy sauce makes the taste more to the Japanese food.

If you don't have a rice cooker, take a look at the corn rice recipe.

Cooking process will be exactly the same.

<Yield> 4 servings

<Prep time>1 mins

<Cook time> 40mins ( Time changes depending on your rice cooker)

2 cups / 300g of Japanese sushi rice

430cc of water / just follow the measurement line of 2 cups rice in your rice cooker

1 tbsp of butter

2 cloves of galic

1 bouillon cube

1 tbsp of soy sauce

1 tsp of salt

<Optional toppings>

fried garlic

fresh parsley

black pepper

1: Rinse the rice and soak in water for 1 hour. Drain the water and transfer into the rice cooker.

2; Add seasonings listed above and water. Mix it well then switch on the rice cooker.

3; Mix rice from bottom to top motion and drop butter. Roughly combine them together.

Serve it onto your plate. Sprinkle freshly crushed black pepper.

<Miwa’s tips>

・You can swap water for veggie stock or chicken stock. If that’s the case, you don’t need to add bouillon cube.

・The amount of water is a little bit lesser than when you normally cook the rice.

<Recommended side dish>

Japanese Veggie curry

<Storage time>

Store it in a air-tight container in the freezer for 2 weeks.
